This iPad web app has been written and developed by Graham Gaw, a primary school teacher from Edinburgh.

"Despite there being over 275,000 apps available for the iPad there was nothing suitable to use in the classroom whilst learning about the Jacobite Rebellions. After some research it became apparent that making an app is quite an undertaking (often costing between £50,000 and £250,000 to develop) and would be very impractical. So, I opted to make an iPad optimised website instead that can run as a web app.

The site has been developed and written with the support of my P6 class and other teachers at the school, many thanks!"

The site works best with the iPad used in 'landscape mode'.

	The user interface has been created using jQuery Mobile, a unified, HTML5-based user interface system for all popular mobile devices.
